Hotel has 4 major departments namely Front Office, House
Keeping , Food & Beverage Service and Food Production /Kitchen department.
All the four departs offers lucrative career options to the people, though
under House Keeping, tips mostly outperform the actual salary.

Housekeeping is an important and integral part of the guest
experience and satisfaction. Other things such as security are also important,
but what guest really want is to feel at home, to feel comfortable. Although
the staff providing this service do not normally interact with the customers,
the quality of their work is critical in shaping guests’ pleasant memories of
the stay.
A housekeeper’s

make career in Housekeeping Department in the Hotel Industry, though it becomes
important for the aspirants to select the Hotel Management Institute wisely,
checking their teaching pedagogy and placement records.
After successful completion of the programme and training in
the industry, one starts as “Associate” moving towards “Supervisor” level then “Assistant
Housekeeper” then finally becoming “Executive Housekeeper” which will require
experience of around 7-10 years in the industry. Salary range starts from Rs
15,000-Rs 20,000 p.m. + perks from Hotels and tips from Guests.
